Twitter to YouTube

Downloads videos from X (Twitter) and uploads them to your YouTube channel — title, description, visibility and scheduling all set in the extension, without opening YouTube Studio

Overview

Downloads videos from X (Twitter) and uploads them to your YouTube channel — title, description, visibility and scheduling all set in the extension, without opening YouTube Studio. It runs quietly in your browser as a lightweight extension — no separate app to install or manage. In practice that means finds the video in an X post automatically, with no copy-pasting of links, and download to disk, filed by year and month.

Features
  • Finds the video in an X post automatically, with no copy-pasting of links
  • Download to disk, filed by year and month
  • Upload straight to your YouTube channel over a chunked, resumable connection that survives an interrupted network
  • Set title, description, visibility, playlist and the Made for kids declaration in the extension — no YouTube Studio tab
  • Publish immediately or schedule against US Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii time
  • A cleanup bar on the title and description strips what X adds but YouTube does not need: country flags, a show tag before a "|", an all-caps label before a ":", live-stream plugs and their links, and hashtags
  • Cleanup filters are switches rather than one-shot buttons, so turning one off restores what it removed, and your choices carry to the next video
  • Four-step setup wizard with drag-and-drop for the Google credentials file
  • Token health indicator per channel, with one-click renewal before access expires
How to use
  1. Install the extension and open its settings.
  2. Add your Google API client ID and secret, or drag in the JSON file Google provides, then use Save & Connect to link your YouTube channel.
  3. Open a post on x.com that contains a video.
  4. Choose Download to save the file, or Upload to send it to YouTube.
  5. Set the title, description, visibility and playlist in the upload window, using the cleanup bar to strip anything X added.
  6. Publish immediately, or pick a date and time in your chosen US timezone.
